Three Cheese Chicken Alfredo Bake {Cooking Time}

My mom has all three of her children back at home, when for about 3-4 years, she only had my little brother, while my brother and I were away at college. Now we are both back, and although my brothers help my parents in minuscule chores like trash duty (they don't do much, but watch TV and play video games). I try to help my mom with dishes, and sweeping and mopping.

But she has been saying how tired she is after work, I think hinting at us to help her for dinner. So to help her out, I decided to cook for them on Wednesdays. Thanks to the handy-dandy Pin-terest, I came upon this yummy recipe. YOU DON"T UNDERSTAND HOW CREAMY AND CHEESY AND AMAZING THIS WAS.

Pinterest took me to Life as a Lofthouse, where I got this recipe from. (Her pictures inspired me too) Which was super easy. It think this plate could totally serve 8.

Ingredients:

1 (16 ounce) box Penne pasta noodles
2 (10 ounce) containers Alfredo sauce or 1 (15 ounce) of sauce
1 cup sour cream
1 (15 ounce) container Ricotta cheese
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 cups cooked, diced chicken _________ I used 3 boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons dried Parsley ___________ I used fresh parsley
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning _________ I used seasoning salt
2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese

Directions:

  • Cook the chicken until tender. Shred or dice the chicken.
  • Boil the penne pasta as directed in the package. Drain the pasta and return to the pot.
  • Gather your ingredients, and mix all the ingredients together in the pasta pot. (except for the mozarella cheese, we will using this later)
  • Pre-Heat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • After mixing all the ingredients, pour the pasta into the 9x13 greased pan. (can I just eat it now!!! It smells to good)
  • Sprinkle the top of the pan with the mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover it with foil (or without for crispy-ness) and put it in the oven for 30 minutes.

ENJOY this creamy, delicious, amazing, yummy, cheesy, creation!!!

Currently Reading.. Ines del Alma Mia

Let me tell you something you might not know about me I LOVE TO READ. Lately I have been reading lots of book blogs, lol, what a nerd I know. But I have been adding lots of books on my list!!

Keep an eye out for Thursday's post on my Top Fave books (which I already know its going to be hard to choose.)

Anyways I wanted to share with you what I'm currently reading.

Check it out on Goodreads  here (english version)

I'm reading the Spanish version, which although I am fluent in Spanish; speaking, writing  and reading, I still have some trouble reading. Isabel Allende writes in proper Spanish something that I'm not used to, I find myself using a Spanish-English dictionary to translate some big words.

I love Isabel Allende, and have read her books previously The house of the Spirits and Zorro, both in Spanish, and I really enjoyed them. I'm a big fan of historical books, these books are set back in history, where the world was just expanding, and the lifestyle was different. I like to put myself in the character's shoes and imagine how life was back in time.

Ines of My Soul is set back in the 1500s when America was just being discovered and the Spanish Crown was exploring and conquering Chile and Peru. It tells the story of Ines, a Spanish woman who decided to travel to the newly found Americas in search of her husband. In her journey she finds out her husband died like many other Spanish men. She fall is love with a Spanish soldier and they set out to conquer Chile {that's where I am}.

I don't think I'm a good movie, books or anything reviewer, but when I'm done with it, I will try to review it. But 140 pages in, I recommend it, I like the story of Ines, her journey and the history.

What book are you currently reading? Have you ever read Ines of My Soul?

Summer Song!!

Going off my post from the other day, SUMMER is ending! Some of the students are starting school tomorrow!!

I had a lot of fun this summer. I went to VEGAS, my first time ever as a 21+ year old with my amazing friends!! I went back to the Bay Area on a road trip, which was amazing! Went to three weddings which were all beautiful. Went to the beach and went bar hopping, woot for DAY PARTIES!!! Hung out with my high school and college friends! Had amazing get together with my cousins and family!

Every summer has a theme song! When I think SUMMER 2013 I think of this one!! My favorite song right now. AND THEY ARE SOOOOO SEXY!!!

This past year, I was such an X-Factor fan (which I'm so excited to see this new season). Anyways, when Fifth Harmony was formed I was in love with them. They are my guilty pleasure. And when their new song came out I was all over it. I miss Girl Groups, Remember Spice Girls, Eden's Crush, Destiny's Child, 3LW, Cheetah Girls, PussyCat Dolls, Danity Kane.I LOVED THEM..  Like Simon Cowell said there is a hole in the market for these girls, I just really hope they make it big!! **  fangirling time finished. Check them out. They are talented.

What's your favorite Summer 2013 song? What about your all time favorite summer song!

Fashion in the Office

Seeing that I had an interview today I decided to write a quick post on Interview and Working outfits.

I get super nervous about interviews but I look forward to outfits the most. lol. Head over to Fab5Adventures to read my post on my interview and some interview tips, here.

But on this post we will talk about some fashion. Like I mention I love getting dressed up. I loved adding new pieces to my closet even if its just on my Pinterest closet. I feel that it is really important to look good when going to an interview. It is when your future employer will get a first impression from you, and of course we all want to show an intelligent, fashionable person.

This is what I wore this morning. I felt that this position was on the laid back side, and decided not to wear a suit, but rather a nice salmon/pink button down blouse at Old Navy, with some grey jeans that I bought at Forever21 (the color makes it more professional than regular scenes) and some low nude heels that I got at Payless.

When choosing outfits to wear, we have to keep in mind what kind of job we are interviewing for.
Whether we need to wear a two piece suit, or whether we can wear some nice dress pants with a cute blouse, or jeans or blazer. Think whether the job is more creative so you can play with some color like a colored blazer, or whether is more professional/executive where you can use color as your accents in accessories.

Check this website, Fashion Club. They have a cool article on how to pair up a simple piece and wear it based on the kind of job. And boys there are some types on here too.

Also check out my pinterest boards to get some ideas. :
