Do What Makes You Happy {Blog-tember Challenge}

Hi lovelies!!!
Hope you are all had a great long weekend, and ready for a day back at work.I sure ain't, but we gotta do what we gotta do. ;)

Today I bring you a special post. And omg, it's the third post in a row, in a long time. I know I've mentioned recently how I've been M.I.A here. And how sad I am about it. But I found this awesome challenge that I think will help me get back into blogging again. I found it last night. So I will be doing yesterday's post and today's post together.

First, a little bit about the blog challenge. The challenge is hosted by Bailey Jean over at Brave Love. She kindly came up with a daily post for each day for the month of September, called The Blog-tember Challenge. Check out all the prompts here.

Brave Love Blog

Yesterday's prompt: About the Author
Imagine the front sleeve of a hard cover novel. Give us your "About the Author" so we can get to know one another, and for fun tell us what your imaginary novel would be about.

Adrianna Avila, known as Adri to her loved ones, is the proud author of Adri's Thoughts. As a small girl, she has loved writing her daily life in journals. Now at the age of twenty-five she combines her love of reading with her dream of writing. This novel will be her debut novel, which combines her love of writing, reading and the fashion designing world. Adri was born and raised in California, and she currently lives there, and loves the California sunsets and year long warm weather. Visit her at thoughtsbyadri.blogspot.com to see a glimpse of her daily life.

Today's prompt: What Makes You Happy

Five Little Grins + Blog Baton Day

A much needed Five Little Grins post!!!!
 5 Little Grins
//one//
Can't get over the little mini photo shoot I had with my cousin last week. Although I felt a little awkward most of the time, I had fun. Another mini shoot is in the works. :)

//two//
WORLD BOOK NIGHT, happened this past Wednesday!! A fellow blogger, suggested World Book Night as something I should add to my bucket list. So I signed up. Basically book lovers sign up to be book givers once a year in order to promote reading and literacy to light and non readers. . I gave the book Wild by Cheryl Strayed. Some of my copies went to my local library, I delivered some of the books on my way home on some bus stops, I gave some copies to some new mothers. It was definitely rewarding. I'm definitely want to do it again next year. Find more information here

My second day of subbing happened on Friday, and it was so much fun. I'm really enjoying it. Like I mentioned last week, I got hired to be a substitute paraeducator, which work with children with special needs. And although I have only been to two assignments, and it's rigorous, I'm enjoying it.

//four//
I biked 4 miles to my dad's and brother's baseball game. It took me 35 minutes, I was sweating after, my legs are sore, but I loved feeling the wind through my hair.

Family night. On Saturday we had a pizza night at my uncles house. Homemade pizza + family = amazing night.

OHHHHHH I almost forgot!!!! If you follow me on Instagram you already know that thanks to Mason Like the Jar, I have the Blog Baton today!!! I'm so excited, hopefully my day is as exciting as my mind makes me believe so.
What has you smiling recently?

Coffee Shop Happiness

Blogtember day 18: September 26, 2013 : Go to a coffee shop. Order a favorite drink. Write about what makes you happy and what makes you sad. Or write about anything you'd like! Bonus points for including a photo from the coffee shop.

I went to a coffee shop, on my way to work. I had an extra 30 minutes and stopped by the Starbucks close to my students' house. I ordered myself a Pumpkin Spice Latte. And sat my butt down instead of my usual drink on the go.

I didn't quite write this post at Starbucks, but I did think about it.

What makes me happy:

 - It's beginning to feel like fall. Crispy air, cool nights, windy. I love it!!
 - Pumpkin Spice Lattes. My new obsession as of Friday. Never tried them in the 10 years that Starbucks has had them, and I crave them now!!

 - "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern. If you have not read it, you must!! It's so magical and captivating. Everytime I put it down, I just want to pick it up and keep on reading.
 - Reading, period. I love reading!!
 - Knitting. Ohh gosh I sound like a grandma. Because what 23 year old knits.

 - Candles. This candle reminds me of Berkeley. I'm not sure why, but when I lit it I took me back to the early morning walks to class.

 - New Girl. Just started season 2, and I can't believe I just discovered it..
 - Talking about TV shows. The Fall TV show line-up: New Girl, The X-Factor, The Voice, Glee, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Ravenswood, Parenthood, Once Upon a Time, Scandal, gahh

 - My friends!!! The ones that been there for the long run.
 - My family!! I love them forever!!!!!
 - My munchkins = my nieces and nephews.
 - And the newest happiness, my baby niece who is coming to the world in November. I want to meet her already!!
