Do Something New

Happy First Saturday of the YEAR!!!!

So today I'm linking up with the amazing Brittany over at Life Changes for her Do Something New monthly Link-up!! She is challenging us to try to do something new ever month. Fun, right? Join us, follow Brittany's blog and try something new. :)
I'm the person who likes routines and sticking with what I know and rarely do I try something new. Boo!! But with my New Year's resolution to try new things, and being spontaneous and putting myself out there more, I think Brittany's link-up didn't come at a more perfect year.

So I'll begin my first month with something easy, and then hopefully I can (or if you can help me) come up with more fun new things to try the following months. :)

My Do Something New of the month is to Cook a Healthier Dish at least once a week for my family. More veggies, less fast food. This is the time for all of us to eat a little healthier and my mom is on board. So stay tuned for some healthier dishes. :)
Have any suggestions on what I can try out next month? Or any yummy recipes? What new things are you trying? I wanna know :)

Check out my birthday giveway!

  1. Lovely post and concept. c:
I wish I could do the same, some recipes would indeed come in handy over here too!!
    I do suggest a ramen salad - I think it's "googleable".
My mom makes it on occasion and it's delicious!!
As for my try something new of the month, I'm going to find a way to get on my hula hooping daily routine (and back down to 120lbs again).

  2. So glad you joined me! I thought I would be the only one. I think my do something new for next month might be food related as well. I need to try to cut out sweets. You could try a 30 day workout challenge. I want to do that as well. Maybe not work out 30 days straight but at least work out the majority of it. I love your idea!

  3. That's a great challenge! As for yummy and healthy recipes I have loads on my foodblog Simone's kitchen. I'm also joining in Brittany's challenge and for me it's also food related as I'm doing a Whole30 this month... Healthy food with a twist so to speak! Good luck with yours!

  4. Awesome idea! I'm also a routine kinda girl but after so long of doing the same thing I get a little stir crazy and end up doing something stupid - like cut off all my hair hahaha I don't even know what my first "new" will be but I just got a new puppy and I have a feeling his energy is going to motivate more walking/running :)
