Personality Test 2.0 {Blogtember}

Gaahh this is crazy. Before I go on to explain how accurate some of these characteristics are, I have to say, I took this same test last year, also as a part of a Blogtember challenge. And you know what I got last year: ISFJ. You know what I got now: ISFJ. ha that's crazy. Was kind of skeptical the first time I took it, but was amazed at how accurate the results were, and now with this second test I'm even more amazed that I got the same results. heheh.

Today's Prompt:
Let's talk personality types. Introverted? Extroverted? Unsure-troverted? ;) If you know your Myers-Briggs type, tell us about it! If not, you can take this similar test and share your results.

Introversion (I): ISFJs are introverted and tend to be quiet and reserved.
Sensing (S): ISFJs prefers concrete information rather than abstract theories.
Feeling (F): ISFJs place a greater emphasis on personal considerations rather than objective information
Judging (J): ISFJs are planners and tend to be very well-organized. Found here.

. While doing some research on ISFJ, here, these are some of the facts that I can relate to:

We like working in small groups. yes, there is that introvert in me
Unlikely to embrace new ideas. somewhat true, but I must always try something new.
Meticulous and perfectionist. must agree
But a procrastinator. always. eeek
Home is where the heart is. family and friends/loved ones are one of the things I care most about.
Remembers details about people lives and habits. heheh. stalker much, lol.. promise I'm not.
Hates confrontation
Unable to express their emotions. yup.
Loyal, hard working, patient and reliable. I would like to think that I am those.
Shy and sensitive. I've always been shy since I was younger, and yes I must admit I am sensitive.
Tend to overload themselves.

What did your test say about you? Did you agree??

First, a little bit about the blog challenge. The challenge is hosted by Bailey Jean over at Brave Love. She kindly came up with a daily post for each day for the month of September, called The Blog-tember Challenge. Check out all the prompts here.

Liebster Award Fun!!!

Ahhh so excited to be nominated for the Liebster Award. Okay but I must confess something. I have been nominated for it in the past. But that's okay right? I can do it again, right? I just feel so blessed to have people read my blog and nominate me for it.
So basically what is the Liebster Award? It is an award given to small blogs, bloggers that have 300 or less followers, in order to showcase new blogs for the blogsphere to read. Yay!!
The person who nominated you asks you a set of questions, and then you ask you nominees a set of questions they answer.

So today I have been nominated by Valerie over at Indecisively Restless
But in the last couple month I have also been nominated by Gina at Gina's Agenda, and Alexa over at Pretty by Alexa. Thank you ladies!! If you haven't checked their blogs, I highly suggest you head over.
I wasn't sure if I could be nominated multiple times but I decided to finally make a post in order to promote some of my new fave blogs.

Questions from Valerie:

//one//
What do you like the most about yourself?
Ooohh this is a hard question. I think the most thing I like about myself is that I try to help everyone. I love helping out. It's very rewarding to know that you were there when someone needed help, even if its a small thing.

//two//
What is your all time favorite book?
I absolutely love reading, as if you couldn't tell by my book infested posts last week. But whenever they ask me about my favorite book, its too hard to just choose one. But there are a couple of books that have made me view the world a little differently or who have shaped me in some kind of way: The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, The Great Gatsy by Scott F. Fitzgerald, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer, and Always Running by Luis Rodriguez, among many more.

//three//
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would go to Italy. I have always wanted to travel to Italy and learn Italian, and eat Italian food, and date Italian men.. hehe.

//four//
If you could have any job in the world, what would you do?
Fashion Designer. Although I have not sewn much in the last couple months, designing has always been that far-reaching dream that I've had since I was little.

//five//
What is your biggest pet peeve?
gahhh, people eating with their mouths full. Ewww. Just no.

//six//
Do you have any siblings?
Yes two younger brothers.

//seven//
Do people know you are a blogger?
My best friends do. My mom does. And slowly I've been trying to get it out there a bit more.

//eight//
Who has made the biggest impact in your life?
Definitely my mom. She has always supported us through everything. The unconditional love that she has showed for us is always comforting. Love her so much.

//nine//
What can you not leave home without?
My phone, and my wallet. And a book. lol.

//ten//
You can take one celebrity and one friend with you on a desert island, who would go with you?
I would create one person from all my friends lol. I can't choose one. gahhh.. okay.. I would choose my cousin Vane, and Romeo Santos from the bachata group Aventura to serenade us when we get lonely. lol.

//eleven//
What do you hope blogging will help you accomplish?
I hope that blogging can help me be more open about myself personally, and creatively.

You are supposed to choose 11 blogs to nominate, but that's too many. Here are my 5 picks

All Grown Up {The Girl Between The Lines}

Girl Between the Lines Link up

This Week's Prompt: This is a free week to write about something that fits the theme of your blog.

Last week I missed The Girl Between The Lines prompt, that I really wanted to write about. So today I bring you last week's prompt.

We all imagined what our lives would like when we were "all grown up"... how does that compare to what your life looks like now?"

You know how some kids change what they want to be when they grow up every so often. I remember not really changing it. I wanted to be a teacher, for as long as remember. I remember having this ping-pong table at our house, and when it was time to play outside, me and my cousins would play school. The ping-pong table was green, and big, and it looked like a chalkboard, and we would literally use it as such. I would be the teacher and my brothers and cousins would be my students. I would even make a roll sheet to look like the ones that the teachers have.

As I got older, being a teacher stayed with me. It was in college where I really realized that I enjoyed working with children.

Another thing that I dreamed about when I was little was going to college. My parents were always encouraging us and telling us that education was important. So I knew that I wanted to go to college.

Another goal was that by age 25, I wanted to have a college degree, my career set, married and possibly a baby on the way.

Where am I right now? Well I graduated from college a year ago. And I working as a tutor and job hunting  to try to get more experience working with kids. But as of 1 week ago, I have been questioning whether educating is my main goal. I think I've come at a crossroads, because I'm not sure what I want to do. And I'm getting a little anxious about it.

I'm turning 25 this year, I have graduated from college, I haven't officially started by career, and prince charming is nowhere in sight. At 23, I was freaking out about not "having my life together", but now I'm . I'm still trying to figure myself out. I'm enjoying life as much as I can right now and i'm excited to see what happens next. So many people around me seem to have their path set, which I admire, and some like me are on our way. And although I might get anxious and frustrated because things aren't going the way I planned them to be, I know it's going to be okay.

How do your "when I grow up" plans compare to your life now?

My Go-To Meal {The Girl Between The Lines}

I just, like now, found about this wonderful link up hosted over at A Beautiful Exchange and The Albrechts Blog called The Girl Between the Lines. It's a pretty amazing link-up, where we get to know each other a little bit better. Each week the ladies have a different topic.
Girl Between the Lines Link up

This Week: What is Your Go-To Meal?
I'm such a foodie and I love so many dishes. But I think my go-to meal would be Chicken Salad, or as my family calls it "Ensalada de Navidad" aka "Christmas Salad." (perfect timing right?)

It's probably one of the easiest thing to make.
Chicken Salad
Ingredients:
Chicken
Mayonaise (about 4 spoonsful, or desired)
Sour Cream (about 1 spoonful)
Mixed Vegetables (fresh or canned)
Salt (to taste)

Directions:
- Boil your chicken until nice and tender
- Shred your chicken and mix in your mixed vegetables.
- Add the mayo and sour cream and mix everything together.

See the easiest thing ever. I also used to add cooked pasta, also very yummy. So people add olives, tomatoes, and other vegetables, which I think would be delish as well.

Here is a little history about this dish. So i mentioned that my family calls it "Christmas Salad." Why, you may ask? Well the first reason is because it apparently looks like Christmas. The mayo and the chicken makes the "snow" and the mixed vegetables with the peas, and corn, and carrots, make up the tree and the ornaments. Uhhhhh.. I don't know, okay? I don't know. (Smh) I think our parents would just tell us this when we were younger so that we will eat it.. hahah.

The second reason, and I think the one that touched me the most, was just explained last week. When I asked my aunt, why it was called Ensalada de Navidad. She told us that back when they were younger and living in Mexico, they didn't have much money, and a delicacy like chicken and even mayo was not affordable. But when Christmas time rolled around, they would eat this yummy Chicken Salad, so the name Ensalada de Navidad stuck.

When I was away at college. I remember me and my roomies would always make this salad, because it was so fast. We would add the pasta so that it could last us longer. And believe me we survived off one batch of Chicken Salad for a little bit more than a week.

Coffee.. right up!!

How does your coffee order at Starbucks mirror your personality?

Let me start off by saying that I was never a coffee drinker. I started drinking coffee my 4th year in college, oooohh 2 years ago. I've probably taken a sip or two, but never had a cup of coffee by myself before Fall of 2011.  With midterms coming along, and board member meetings for my org, stress was piling up fast. And what did I decide to do is to get a cup of coffee. A White Chocolate Mocha, Iced, please. My first coffee ever, at Starbucks. And I feel in love with it!!!  I was grabbing a cup of coffee every day for the like 2 weeks, until my friends had an intervention, and thank god, because a couple days letter I think I still was too jacked on coffee I couldn't function.

I stopped for a while, and then out came the Peppermint Mocha at Starbucks, during Christmas. Yumm.

Now I'm hooked on Pumpkin Spice Lattes!!!!

When I'm not needing the caffeine, I get a Vanilla Bean Frap.

What does this say about myself?
Whatever coffee house it is I always choose an Iced White Chocolate Mocha. Nothing out of the ordinary. I love to stick with what I know and love! It could also be because I'm an inexperienced coffee drinker, and don't know what to order.

When I do order outside of my White Chocolate Mochas, I choose those seasonal drinks. My adventurous decision for the year is these seasonal drinks. lol. I guess I like to spice up my order once in a while, when the holidays roll around. ;)

Boring. And Lame. Is what the Vanilla Bean Frap order says about me. Who goes to a coffee shop and orders a Vanilla Bean aka no-coffee-drink.

What do you like to drink? What do you think it says about your personality?

Liebster Award!! Get to know me.

I'm so excited about this!!! :) I've never been nominated for anything before in my life. And to be nominated for something like this for my blog is awesome. My blog is just starting so this is cool. My Cara Box partner Brianna from Endlessly Beloved nominated me. She's such an amazing person, I've enjoyed getting to know her through the Cara Box swap, and love reading her blog!!! So go on now, go check her out, and you'll see!! :)

This award is given to smaller blogs and to those who are just starting. I love it because it allows us to discover NEW BLOGS!!!

How it works:
- Link back to the awesome blogger who nominated you!! :)
- Answer the 11 questions that the nominator asked you
- List 11 facts about yourself
- Nominate some of your favorite SMALL blogs (I googled the award and some variations said blogs that have under 200 followers or under 1000, so up to your discretion)
- Ask 11 questions for your nominees to answer!!

Questions from Brianna!!
If you could meet anyone dead or alive, who would it be?
If I could meet anyone I would choose Audrey Hepburn. I love Breakfast at Tiffany's, Roman Holiday. She was classy. She's an icon. Beautiful. Intelligent. Talented!

What's one thing you can't live without?
Other than my family, my phone and books are tied!!!

What's your favorite holiday and why?
I would choose Christmas since it's full of love, giving, gratefulness and it's my Birthday, but... my ultimate holiday is Thanksgiving. Coming from a big family, I love when we get together. Thanksgiving is one of those days, full of family, love, thankfulness and amazing food

Tell us about your most embarrassing moment.
I've had many, but the one that comes to mind is when me and my friend were at the Bart Station (Subway station) and we were trying to get to San Francisco from Berkeley. There was only one train passing through our station,and we had to get on and transfer at the next station. Me and my friend were confused for a bit, but she said "Let's get on this one" right as the door were opening. People were passing. Everything happened so quickly, the next thing I knew the doors closed in front of me, my friend on the train and I still on the platform. Soo embarrassing. I had to wait 15 minutes for the next one, and we totally missed whatever we were going to do in San Francisco.

If you could change your name what would you change it to?
When I was younger, I hated my name. It was weird, A-dree-ah-na. With two n's, please. Adrianna. I never found a key chain souvenir with my name on it. Now I love it, wouldn't change it. But I think when I was younger I wanted to Alexis, Alexa, Alexandra. lol

If you could have one super power what would it be?
If I could choose one super power it would be the ability to teleport. I have FOMO (fear of missing out so.. this way I can be everywhere in the blink of my eyes) lol

What's something you're excited about in the future?
In the near future, my baby niece, November hurry. In the semi-future seeing all my nieces and nephews grow up. Also wanting to travel all around. In the far away (hopefully not that far away) future finding someone that I would love to spend the rest of my life with, and start a family.

If you could go back in time what would you do differently?
I think I would like to stop and smell the roses. Enjoy life a little bit more and not focus on the way I saw myself or the way I thought other people saw me. Remind myself to have a blast even if you are silly.

What's your current favorite artist/song?
Carrie Underwood, why did I just realize how amazing you are!?

If you had to choose an actress to play you in a movie who would it be?
Jennifer Lawrence. Although I look nothing like her, nor I'm like any of the characters she plays. But I think she's awesome. I also pick Jessica Biel, Lauren London,

Who is your celebrity crush?
Trey Songz, thank you!!!

11 facts about myself:
1- Hopeless romantic at heart (although I sometimes deny it lol)

ISFJ = Perfectly Me!! {Personality Test}

Here's today's prompt: Take this short personality test and respond to your results. (at the end, find the detailed profile of your personality account - click "click to view" under "You" and "self awareness and personal growth.")

Results:
After taking the personality test, which btdubs some of the questions I was like okay I could choose either one, I was scored as ISFJ, which means Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging.

Found here.

Facts and Thoughts:
Desire of "need to be needed" - hard to admit, but yes I'm kind of needy to the point of wanting other people to need me and look for me to help.
Bad at delegating - uhhh 100% yes, even coming up with a choice is hard. :/
Can be taken advantage of - eeek..
Accurate workers with good memory - well *brush shoulders off* I'm a very hard worker
Prefer small groups or one-on-one setting - yes!! I don't hate bigger crowds, but I do prefer smaller ones.
Traditional careers: teaching, social work, nursing, clerical, counseling - when I read this part I got the chills, always wanted to work helping people, teaching, social work, counseling, these have become some of my dream careers lately.
Family is the center of their lives - definitely
Have few, close friends and are extremely loyal - yes I can count my best friends in one hand (okay two barely)
Hate confrontation - HATE it, GET ME OUT of situations like that
Unable to articulate any distress - yess I keep everything to myself, often times too long that I explode, not good.
Difficulty in "advertising" their achievements - yep that's me
Tend to overload themselves - yep!! always find myself way over my head.
Loyal, committed and patient - yes, at least according to my mother! My family and friends are where my loyalty is, I will stick behind them no matter what. Committed and passionate about everything I do. And patient as can be. :)
Exceptional Imagination - hmm, I'm creative yes! But having imagination, idk!
Remember so many details about people's lives and habit - that sounds slightly creepy and stalkerish, but yes, I must agree
Unlikely to embrace new and radical ideas - true, but I like to be adventurous once in a while.
Preferred partners: ESFP and ESTP types.  - ESFP they like doing exciting things in a relationship, they are affectionate, inquisitive and open minded, but tend to not focus. ESTP are unpredictable and love to enjoy fun activities, they like to engage in risky behaviors, and they take life from day-to-day and they dislike long-term planning. HMMM interesting, everything that I am not. :) Info from: http://www.16personalities.com

Jenni at Story of My Life came up with this blogging challenge called "Blogtember." For the month of September she came up with some blog post prompts for us bloggers to write about.

I'm a little late to the party, and I hope its okay that I'm joining. I hope to make up the previous posts soon. :)
Sept 3: Describe where or what you come from. The people, the places, and/or the factors that make up who you are.
Sept 4: If you could take three months off from your current life and do anything in the world, what would you do?
Sept 5: Pass on some useful advice or information you learned and always remembered.
Sept 6: A story about a time you were very afraid.
