Wooot woot!! its Sunday!! And thank goodness tomorrow is a Holiday!!! :) 

What were up to this long weekend??

 I went with my parents to visit my grandparents in Mexico. Which was fun. Its always nice to see them. 

1. What is one thing you hate doing?

The one thing I hate doing is waking up in the morning for work. I love my sleep. hehehe.. But I have to do it. 

2. What is the one thing you hate shopping for?

Jeans. It's really hard to shop for jeans. The only jeans I seem to be in love with are the ones from Old Navy, so whenever they are having a jean sale I stock up!! :) But I want to try the fun jean colors and patterns, but never end up finding none in my size. 

3. What is one thing you love doing?

I love getting together with family.

4. What is one place you love going?

Starbucks!!!!

5. What is your favorite thing to do that you do daily?

! My favorite thing to do on the daily is reading!!! I love it!!! :)

Another week has gone by!!! Is it just me or is 2014 going by sooo fast??

Any one else feel like that?

1. One item you wish you could splurge on right now
Right at this very moment, I wish I could splurge on a new computer/laptop. Preferably a Mac and something like this

2. If you had an entire weekend of no plans what would you do?
If I had an entire weekend of no plans, I would definitely plan a small getaway to somewhere nice and relaxing with family and friends. And be in the water all day, with some margaritas, and a book. hehe

3. Next place you are visiting outside of your current city?
I think it's going to be The Bay Area, or Rosarito, Mexico, to visit my grandma.

4. Are you a neat freak or a clutterbug?
I would like to think of myself to be a neat freak. But I definitely have my moments when everything is everywhere. aka. now. But I get anxiety when everything is a mess, so I quickly turn into a neat freak.

5. Favorite Summer purchase?
The favorite things I purchased this summer, would have to be some clothes that I just added to me work wardrobe. I'm excited to keep on expanding it.

Hi everyone!!!! Happy Sunday!! and happy 3rd day of August. The year is going by so fast huh? Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. 
1. Gum or mints? Gum. I like to chew the gum. But I'm not a big fruity flavor gum. I like the minty kind. :)
2. Tea or Coffee? About 1 year ago, I was not a fan of either. Now it's all about coffee. 

3. Fruits or Veggies? I'll take fruits over veggies any time. Fruits are just so sweet and yummy!!! :) 
4. TV or Movies?  BOTH!!!! I love movies!! I like wathcing them at home and in the theatres!! But I also love watching shows on TVs. And then when my favorite movies are on TV, thats perfection. :) 
5. Candles or Diffusers?  Candles, and wax melts!!! :) I love them.

1. What is the most difficult thing you have been through? I think one of my most difficult things I've been through would be my anxiety. During college I was so overwhelmed and stressed out that I struggled with anxiety. I had a few panic attacks during college, which were horrible and scary, and I would not wish that on anybody. You just feel so helpless, at least I did. After graduating, I'm happy to say that I haven't had any more panic attacks, nor have I felt much anxiety. But it was one of the worst time of my life so far. 
2. What was your best birthday? My birthday is on Christmas, and although I used to hate it when I was younger, as I got older, it became my favorite day ever. All of my mom and dad's siblings get together at my house and we celebrate Christmas, and sometimes we have a birthday cake, so I'm able to say that my birthday's have all been awesome.  One of the one's that I do remember is my Quincenera party. Oooooh that was almost 10 years ago. I feel old.  It was fun!! Lots of people and dancing!!

3. What has been your favorite thing you’ve done in your own city? I'm so bad at exploring the city. I've lived in Southern California my whole life, but have not gone to any of the touristy places that people think of when they think about LA. 
4. What is your idea of the perfect date night? My perfect date would be a nice dinner,  with some wine Talking about everything! With the sun setting in the background.. a girl can dream right?
5. Have you ever been to a blogging conference?  No I have not. But ever since blogging became a serious thing for me, I've been wanting to go to one. I've heard they are amazing places to network with other bloggers, to meet new people, to get great tips. I want to go to one. Any good ones, that you would suggest?

Sunday Social {Family Edition}

Gahhh.. Sunday is almost over!!! Here is my post!! better late than never right? I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. :)  1. Tell us about the family you grew up in, parents, siblings, grandparents. I grew up with my parents and my two younger brothers. One of my brothers is 1 year younger than me and the other one is 4 years younger than me. 

My grandparents, my mom's parents, also lived with us ever since I could remember until a 7-8 years ago when my grandpa retired, and they back to Mexico to live. 

2. Tell us about your husband, fiancé, boyfriend, significant other. I'm still looking for that man in my life. I'm single and ready to mingle. ;)

3. Tell us about your children. If you don’t have children, talk about your fur children. I don't have kids or any fur children. But my kids are my nieces and nephews!! I love them!!

4. Tell us about your best friends. How long have you known them? How did you meet? My besties are the best!! I have one best friend that has been in my life since high school. And since moving back home after college we have become closer. 

And then I have my college friends. Deborah, Gina, and Brenda. The girls that have been there through thick and thin since college. We met in college, all separately, and then just somehow we all came together and everyone just fit together, like a puzzle. We have all lived with each other at some point throughout college, whether it was on the couch or in the next room. We've had a couple of arguments, but what group of friends don't, but we have bounced back from them, and I think it has made our bond stronger. After college, we each went our separate ways, and now we try too plan an annual trip to just be together, and have fun. They are all amazing, beautiful, strong women, and I admire them for always following their dreams. 

5. Tell us about any other special people in your life. I'm very lucky to have a big family, when it comes to cousins and uncles and aunts. Some people might see negative things of having a big family. But I love it!! I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. There is always someone there I can talk to, someone I can relate to, someone I can look up to, and someone I try to be the best role model for. My dad had 9 siblings, and I have about 30 cousins, and now 10 nieces and nephews, and we have grown up as siblings, always getting together.

Hi I hope you all had an amazing holiday weekend!!! HAPPY SUNDAY!!

1. Favorite Genre of Music? I will listen to all kinds of music, except for maybe hard rock. But I would say my go-to genre would be Pop and Spanish Pop. 
2. Favorite Genre of movies? Romantic comedies are my favorites!!! And I also like watching action movies.
3. Do you watch Reality TV? If so what was the first show you remember watching. Reality TV is my guilty pleasure!!! shhh!! Kardashians, Real Housewives, anything MTV!! But I think the first one I ever watch would be either Survivor or American Idol. I rooted for Kelly from the beginning. :)

4. Actress you’d want to be BFF’s with? Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone!! They are just so beautiful, fun and I feel like they are down-to-earth girls.

5. Actor you’d be happy to be stuck on an island with?  Ohhhhh.. Let me see.  Michael Ealy for sure. YES please!! And then can I have Ryan Gosling and the Hemsworth brothers be dropped off in the island too!!!

1. 4 favorite phone apps Gahh.. I'm lame, I don't have many apps on my phone. Would love any recommendations. The ones I use on the daily are Instagram, Pinterest and Candy Crush.

2. 4 favorite Summer TV shows Pretty Little Liars! And the new shows I'm excited about are Girl Meets World on Disney; Power on Starz. And will finally start watching Orange is the New Black (no spoilers please)

3. 4 things you would NEVER do - Watch any ghost/spirits/scary movies again.(I'm such a scaredy cat)

- Dye my hair a crazy bright color.

- Do any "fear factor" sort of stunts. 

- Scuba dive (I'm afraid of being in the ocean :/)

It's Sunday!!!! Woooo!!! Happy Sunday!!
1. When do you take time for you? Right before going to bed, I like to take some time for myself to read or do a little bit of crochet. 

2. What do you find to be your biggest weakness? Gahhh I always have trouble answering this question.. heheh. But I think my biggest weakness would be that under pressure I sometimes tend to break down. I'm working on it. :) 

3. What is your biggest attribute? Gahh another hard one. But I think I'm a good and loyal person. 

4. What is your favorite place to shop online? I don't usually shop online. Sometimes its hard to find the right clothes, so I'm the kind of person who NEEDS to try things out. :) 

5. What is your favorite place to kill time? Barnes and Noble or Starbucks. :)

First off I wanted to congratulate Neely and Ashley on their 2 year anniversary of their Sunday Social Link-up. 2 years that's amazing. I just started joining in earlier this year, and it has been fun. 
1. Introduce yourself and your blog to us Hi I'm Adri, welcome to my blog, Adri's Thoughts, where you can find a little bit of everything. From Recipes, my favorite has been the 3 Cheese Chicken Alfredo Bake, to Book Reviews, where I tell you all about my favorite books, to my Fashion Thoughts, to Recaps about my trips, about movies, and about life and of course some easy D.I.Y projects. I'm still learning the ropes of blogging, but it was definitely turned into one of my favorite things to do. 

2. What is your favorite form of Social Media and why? Personally I love Instagram. I love taking pictures and sharing them to the world. For blogging purposes, I'm still learning how to promote my blog through social media, but Instagram and Twitter are some of my favorites to get my posts out there. 

3. What made you start a blog? I first started this blog when I was a sophomore in college about 4 years ago. Me and my roommate decided to each start a blog, just as a way to document our college experience. It started off good, but soon I ran out of time and never kept it up. It was not until last summer, when I started to pick up my blog again, and have loved doing it. Is still a way to document my life, share my thoughts and other interesting things. 

4. What do you feel the most meaningful/special post you’ve written is? Last year as a part of Blogtember hosted by Jenni over at Story of My Life, I wrote a letter to my grandma. I was just writing to jot down all the things I wanted to tell my grandma. I shared it with my mom and my aunt, and then my aunt told my grandma about it, and the next time I saw her she told me about it. She was happy. Read it here: Grandma.. I love you.

I haven't done one of these in a while, but I'm glad I'm back doing them again. :) 

1. Who do you call when you need to vent? Definitely my mom. My cousin Vanessa and my best friend Deb, I need more Deb time :). 
2. Where do you go when you need alone time? I lock myself in my room, or I go outside in the backyard to enjoy the sun. But when I want to get out of the house, you can find me at the library or Starbucks. 
3. What is your favorite alone time activity? Reading definitely. Lately it has been crocheting. 
4. What is something we should all stop and read right now?  Right now I'm reading Wild by Cheryl Strayed, and I love it. A book about a woman finding herself while getting lost on hiking on the Pacific Trail Crest. It is soon going to be a movie. 
5. Who do you wish would read your blog that doesn't already? Family? Celeb? I'm still a new blogger. So I just would love to get my blog to the point where it is well known and lots of people read it. But for know the readers that I do have are amazing. :)

It's the end of the week already? Time is sure flying. Here is another edition of Sunday Social, I love this link-up there are always fun questions to answer.

1. How much time do you spend on Social Media a day?…be honest

eeeek.. I spend most of my time on Instagram maybe 3-4 hours throughout the day. The next social media I like to go on is Pinterest like 2 or 3 hours. I've limited my time on Facebook recently, so I just go on to check some updates. I just joined Twitter this week, and I'm still trying to figure out how it works, so I spend some time there "researching." 
2. How long were you reading blogs before you started a blog? I was reading some blogs like 5 months before re-starting my blog. There are so many bloggers out there that gave me to inspiration and motivation to starting blogging again in the summer.  But I've been reading blogs for a couple of years, mostly book blogs to get book recommendations. 
3. What is your favorite kind of cupcake? I'm simple. Vanilla is my fave. Red Velvet is yummy too. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to cupcakes, like I would like to .
4. Do you eat fast food? If so whats your favorite? I feel like I haven't been eating as much fast food this last year. But I like Jack in the Box, and is Subway considered fast food, if so that's my go-to place to eat.
5. What is the most random thing someone would find in your purse? I have mostly small cross-body bags, so there isn't much room to fit a lot of things in there.. Heheh.. but I did find a crochet hook that I thought I had lost in there once. haha
6. What is the weirdest TV show you watch? I think the weirdest show I have ever watched was Hoarders. It's just so crazy how hoarding can take over your life in an instant. In every episode I feel so sad for them, but at the end of the show when it seems like they have their hoarding under control I feel like I can breathe for them.

I don't think I need to reiterate how much I love Pinterest. Thankfully I don't spend as many hours on it as I used to, but it still is my go-to place for creative inspiration.

//Favorite Outfit Pin// I have a couple of style boards, and about 200 outfit pins. I just wish that everything on my virtual Pinterest closet was in my real closet.  I love to pair dresses and tights so I love this outfit.

Sunday Social {One Way Ticket to Greece .. please}

Gahh..Last Sunday of February. Is it just me, or are the days passing us by??
I'm excited for this upcoming weekend.. San Diego bound with my friends!!

1. Favorite breakfast food I love having a homemade breakfast sandwich: scrambled eggs, ham or sausage and cheese and some ketchup. :) Also I know its bad, but I love potatoes: homefries, or hasbrowns!!!!

2. Best way to spend a free day Same as my lazy days. Watching TV shows/movies. I've been just going out the house to read, Starbucks and the park are some of my favorite places to chill and read. 

3. Airline ticket to anywhere in the world….where would you go and why? Greece and Italy!! I have dreamed of going there since I was little. The waters of Santorini seem like Paradise. And the culture, the language and the food in Italy sound amazing. See the Top Ten Places I Want to Visit Before I Die.

4. You can only leave the house with one thing…what is it? I would say my phone. Yep, it's hard to admit, but I think I'm one of those people who can't live without her phone.... and maybe a book. 

5. How do you take your coffee? I've recently turned to coffee. So I'm just exploring the coffee world. But I do know that I DO NOT like my coffee black. I need some sugar and flavor in there. :)  If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

1. What are your favorite things to do on a lazy day? On my lazy days, I like to grab a book and read. Usually reading will lead me to my next favorite thing, which are naps!! :) I also like to watch Netflix, and sit around watching TV or reading blogs. 
2. What is your TV guilty pleasure? Love & Hip Hop. I don't know what it is about that show, maybe its the drama, but I can't stop watching that show. lol.  Also has anyone been glued to MTV while Are You The One is on? I think I'm obsessed with it. Can I be on the show? I even have favorite couples that I'm rooting for and crossing my fingers that they are a perfect match. :) 

Real World: Ex-plosion another guilty pleasure. Basically everything on MTV. heheh

3. What is your favorite road trip music? I love something upbeat. Something to sing to at the top of our lungs, and to help us stay awake. heheh

4. What are your favorite magazines or books to read by the pool or laying around? I love Cosmopolitan, it is definitely my go-to mag. By the water in the summer, or with a cup of coffee in the winter, I thank my subscription for always delivering me a copy of Cosmo. I love reading books, and although I'm open to read all kinds of genres in the summer I like to read books that take place on the beach.

5. What is your favorite snack? I love to snack on grapes, strawberries and goldfish. Have you all tried Ritz with cream cheese? I recently got introduced to it, and I love it.  How was your Valentine's Weekend? How do you spend your lazy days?
